    Greetings Everyone:

Our 2009/2010 Scout year is upon us and we are looking forward to an exciting new year. During the summer, our Troop Committee along with a number of Leaders and Parents met to draw up a schedule of events. It will be available shortly.

For those scouts who have not spoke to Anthony P., our Senior Patrol Leader, we will be at Town Day, this Sunday (Aug. 30th) selling Sno-Cones and selling raffle tickets to win a tent with camping gear. Anyone who can assist with this FUND RAISING EVENT should stop by our tent, roll up their sleeves and have some fun.

Our FIRST MEETING will be Tuesday, September 15th at 7:00pm in the VFW. I’m sure the boys will be delighted to share their summer memories, whether they attended Summer Camp at Read, participated in the Adirondack Trek or simply spent their summer with their families. Everybody has a story of what they did and saw – bring them to share with the Troop.

Photos of this Summer at Read/Adirondacks should be available – I’m hoping.

    BREAKING NEWS:

West Point has an amazing offer for the scouts. Mark your calendars - September 19th at West Point at 9am to 12pm. They will be giving tours as well as engaging them in activities for the morning. This event is FREE for ALL. (Details Below)

We can discuss attending West Point at our First Meeting. Our Calendar of Events will be available at our First Meeting or On-Line in the near future.

I look forward to seeing everybody’s smiling face and hearing all about your summer.
